The British Council is delivering the 8th Qatar UK Festival, aiming to foster a view of the UK’s engagement with Qatar through an integrated British Embassy and British Council partnership and engaging with local stakeholders.

“Cut from the same cloth” will be a collaboration that joins up existing local clothing recycling with a pilot to mechanically recycle clothing into fiber from which new textiles will be produced. A socially engaged project promoting textile recycling and the power of reinvention.

You can drop off clothes at M7, Msheireb Downtown, and British Council Qatar offices. Throughout and after the festival, attendees can aid in preparing clothing for mechanical recycling, which will be shipped to a factory in Bangladesh and local charities.
